OPTION AIR-D1 - ISO connection KIT | small dimensions - high performance!

With the OPTION AIR-D1 ISO kit, you get a compact, powerful monoblock for your subwoofer - including a suitable plug & play solution to conveniently tap the signal from the radio. You work via high level (speaker signal from the radio), set the power amplifier accordingly and thanks to AutoSense/Auto-Remote it switches on and off automatically - without the need for a separate remote cable

Compatibility

• ISO: suitable for vehicles with an ISO connection on the radio (typically older models)

• Please note! The set is only compatible if your vehicle does not have a power amplifier fitted ex works!

Installation & connection

• Signal tapping at the radio via the ISO-CONNECTOR (plug & play) - no cable disconnection necessary
• The tapped signal is routed to the power amplifier via the Molex system (high-level operation)
• Important: Set the input on the power amplifier to high level. Thanks to AutoSense/Auto-Remote, the power amplifier then switches on/off automatically
• Connect the power supply properly (plus/minus) and set the fuse correctly near the battery - the appropriate cable kit is included in the scope of delivery
• Connect the subwoofer: Strip the speaker cables cleanly, ideally fit wire end ferrules and secure them to the screw terminal
• Adjust the setup: Adjust the gain, set the low-pass and fine-tune the subsonic/bass boost if required
• Place the level remote control at the front (e.g. in the cockpit area) and connect it via a jack

Cable length & extensions (installation close to the radio)

The plug & play cables in this kit are 1.2 m long - ideal for installation close to the radio (e.g. behind the radio or in the glove compartment). If you want to place the power amplifier in a different location, you will need a suitable extension for the front speaker signal

Notes & optional items

Cinch adapter (included): The cinch adapter is generally not required in the set, as you are working with plug & play high-level here. However, it can still be useful for special cases (e.g. retrofit radio with cinch)

Subwoofer cable: This set already includes a suitable speaker cable for the subwoofer. If you are using an OPTION subwoofer with Multi-Molex and want particularly clean plug & play, you can also order this cable

Alternative connection kits: If your vehicle does not have an ISO connection on the radio, we also offer suitable variants for other connector systems

• Quadlock (for many VAG models up to 2014)
