The Rock-1 is a bandpass subwoofer with 2 x 16.5 cm chassis in push-pull mode. The subwoofer chassis are housed in the enclosure and are therefore very well protected. The bass is driven into the footwell via the 6 cm bass port.
The design and size are very similar to a 100Ah battery, so that in most cases this subwoofer can be installed in a free battery space.
The extremely powerful and melodious bass is remarkable despite the small size. The elaborate shape of the enclosure and the sophisticated subwoofer combination of the push-pull chassis will amaze even the sound enthusiasts.
The Rock-1 subwoofer is the invisible bass complement to our OPTION loudspeaker set in the Ducato, whether operated directly on the car radio (rear loudspeaker outputs) or via the OPTION DSP-6-DUC DSP amplifier.
Operation of the ROCK-1 directly on the car radio:
Thanks to the bandpass enclosure principle, it is now always possible to connect the often unused rear speaker outputs of the car radio directly to the Rock-1 without having to install another power amplifier. No extra power supply and an extremely fast and connection-safe retrofit using the cable kit makes installation much easier. Due to its bandpass enclosure, the Rock-1 has a very low attenuation in the mid-range, which is why it does not produce a booming effect even without a crossover. The bass, on the other hand, extends to an optimum band between 50Hz and 120Hz and, if desired, gets down to business.
The particularly good efficiency of the Rock-1 ensures that even with low power (2 x 10 watts RMS) from the speaker outputs (left and right) of the car radio, a super bass complements the sound.
Operating the ROCK-1 with an external power amplifier (e.g. DSP-6-DUC):
Even if the Rock-1 already produces very good bass with very little power, a further increase is easily possible with a power amplifier. Our DSP-6-DUC is very easy to install with the special cable set via Plug&Play and now gives the ROCK-1 150 watts RMS. The subwoofer now performs optimally and produces extremely powerful and very punchy bass. Simply perfect for music lovers!
