Dension DAB+U |MPC|

The easiest way to retrofit a factory radio with DAB+

Only for car radios with USB connection, which also have the option of iPod control! Otherwise the Dension DAB+U (MK1) must be used. The Dension MPC has the latest firmware, but can also be reset to the normal Dension DAB+U (MK1) version.

Please note:

• Radio stations that begin with a dot (.) in their station name cannot be played at the moment (probably possible in the future through updates)

Your factory car radio only has FM - that doesn't have to be the case!

Many cars are still equipped with car radios that can only receive FM. Nowadays, however, the variety of programmes and the quality of the sound on DAB-Plus is so high that you don't want to do without DAB in your car.

Factory car radios can now be retrofitted with DAB+ using the Dension DAB+ |MPC|. The factory car radio only needs to have a USB connection with the ability to control an iPod.

In contrast to the Dension DAB+U (MK1), station selection is controlled automatically with the |MPC| (MK2) and the interface does not have to be loaded with a suitable file first. The DAB+U |MPC| switches from one station to another in approx. 2 seconds.

Almost all factory car radios that could also control an iPod can therefore also be equipped with the Dension DAB+U |MPC|.

It is operated in exactly the same way as a USB stick, i.e. exactly as you are used to with your car radio.

The DAB+U |MPC| is connected to the USB socket in the car using the USB cable supplied, so the power supply to the interface is already guaranteed and the connection to the car radio is already established.

To ensure that the interface can also receive DAB+, the appropriate aerial must now be fitted in the car and also connected to the interface. DONE!

Operating instructions:

Once the Dension interface has been connected to the USB interface and fitted with the DAB+ aerial, the source "USB" or "iPod" can be selected on the car radio. If you select "Artists" or "Albums", you will find the "SCAN" function in the "Settings", which determines all receivable stations (approx. 45 sec.) and then displays them in a station list.
