Main features:
The OPTION BASE-165 are a very good choice if you want to noticeably improve the sound in your car's interior. The 20 mm silk dome tweeter provides clear, pleasant highs, while the 16.5 cm bass-midrange driver with 3-ohm voice coil enables dynamic and powerful reproduction. With 55 watts RMS, the speakers are ideal for direct operation on the car radio, where they reliably deliver maximum performance - without the need for an additional power amplifier.
The compact cable crossover divides the signal cleanly between the tweeter and woofer and reliably protects the tweeter from low frequencies and overloading. Thanks to the integrated markings, you can easily adjust the tweeter volume: For a more pleasant, slightly quieter reproduction, use the cable with the -3 dB marking. If you want the tweeter to play normally, select the red cable with no attenuation. This allows you to quickly adjust the sound to your personal preferences.
Installation & support:
With their installation depth of 55.5 mm, the BASE-165s fit into many common vehicle models. The cable crossover is simply looped in front of the tweeter and can be flexibly positioned in the vehicle thanks to its compact size. Universal installation accessories are included to make installation easier.
Depending on the vehicle, additional parts such as adapter plugs or speaker rings may be required to optimise the installation of the speakers. If you are not sure which accessories are suitable, our support team will be happy to help you find the right components for your vehicle.
